Boxer Reports More Than $6.3 Million Banked For 2010 Senate Race
Raised $1.6 million in the third quarter
Los Angeles – Senator Barbara Boxer’s reelection campaign will report more than $6.3 million cash on hand in its Federal Election Commission filing for the 2009 third quarter fundraising period, which ended on September 30.
The campaign will report $6.34 million cash on hand, with $1.64 million in contributions between July 1 and September 30. The Boxer committee will file its complete report with the FEC by the deadline of October 15, 2009.
More than 8,800 new donors contributed in the past three months to the Boxer reelection effort. Eighty percent of all donors have contributed $100 or less to the campaign, demonstrating Senator Boxer’s strong grassroots support.
Senator Boxer’s 2010 reelection campaign fundraising continues to outpace the fundraising in her 2004 reelection campaign. At this point in 2003, Senator Boxer’s campaign reported $4.09 million cash on hand.
“Grassroots supporters are the foundation of my campaigns. I am so pleased that more than 43,000 individuals have contributed to my campaign,” Sen. Boxer said.
Boxer was first elected to the Senate in 1992 after serving 10 years in the House of Representatives. She is the only Senator to chair two committees, the Environment and Public Works Committee and the Ethics Committee. She is also a member of both the Commerce and Foreign Relations Committees.
